I personally think that Peppermint Patty grew up to become Rachael Ray. They are both pushy TV women with very similar hair, raspy voices and strong opinions. In fact, they both have strong opinions about food and share them on TV. Ever see the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Special - that's almost exactly like Rachael Ray's "$40 A Day" show where you watch her eat and critique food. You get to watch Peppermint Patty critique the food at Charlie Brown's house. At the end of the episode, she's off to sample the food at Chuck's Grandma's house. How about that Easter Special? She teaches Marcie How to cook - that's pretty much identical to her "30 Minute Meals" show. Why no lawsuits? Well... If she's the same person, then it's not a rip off - it's just the kid and adult versions of the same show starring the same person as both a kid and an adult. Another conspiracy uncovered! MH |
